It may be legal to possess marijuana in Amsterdam, but Miley Cyrus broke the rules by lighting up inside the Ziggo Dome at the MTV EMAs.
According to the Agence France-Presse, authorities are investigating how the "We Can't Stop" singer was able to pull off the stunt at the smoke-free venue.
National Food and Consumer Authority spokesperson Tjitte Mastenbroek shared, "We received complaints about smoking which was also seen on television. We have to investigate. There is a smoking ban in public places in the Netherlands. Employees have the right to a smoke-free environment and this includes camera and sound personnel."
However, Ziggo Dome spokesman Danni Damman insisted that the antics, "caught us by surprise. It's not easy to interfere in a moment like that."
